This is a solid silver coin (approximately 0.5 gram) from Hungary that was minted between the 1400-1600's, during the early European Renaissance. It is was hand made by Magyar craftsmen. This coin commemorates the birth of Christ. One side shows the Royal Coat of Arms while the other features the image of the Madonna holding baby Jesus. Only a small quantity of these rare and wonderful coins survived the ages outside of private collections. It is one of the most revered coins from the period. Coins are not only historically valuable, they are also an excellent investment opportunity during these tumultuos times in our economy.
